Idaho Contest Ends with 23 Coyotes Killed

iStock_000008330410XSmallAccording to Reuters, 23 coyotes, zero wolves, were killed as a result of “The First Annual 2-Day Wolf and Coyote Derby” held in Salmon, Idaho. Though the media states some 250 hunters participated in the hunt, earlier reports noted that many of them came to support the organizer but not actually go out with guns to shoot wolves and coyotes. It’s unclear if these non-hunting supporters paid the various entry fees to the organization responsible for offering prizes, Idaho for Wildlife”. Though listed as a state nonprofit organization, they do not appear on any IRS sources as a tax-exempt, federally recognized nonprofit organization.
